Since the first families came to use the services of Richard House in 2000 the hospice has grown considerably, supporting more and more families and extending the range of services we provide.
This year we celebrate our 25th anniversary as London’s first children’s hospice. Our ongoing care and support continues to make a positive difference to around 300 children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, and their families, meeting their expressed needs appropriately.
Our respite care provides families with a much-needed break whilst their child receives specialised care, therapies and tailored play activities, creating positive memories.
It costs £5m to provide our services, and £4 in every £5 we spend has to come from donations.
